Gallery
In the living and dining rooms of this former residence,The Art House Gallery features works by local artists. Shows change about every six weeks, and openings are scheduled to announce new work. On the first Friday of each month, an artist is invited into the gallery to speak about their work, inspiration, and their life as an artist. These First Friday Artist Talks are free and open to the public.

Fred Snay and Hugo Mesa: Animals and Landscapes in Wood
March 5 - 31, 2010
Fred Snay of Irasburg, Vermont has been creating wildlife replicas in Vermont Basswood for three years. In addition to preserving trophy fish in wood for local fisherman, Snay carves birds, pets, and finely crafted stools with relief carvings of local wildlife. On display in the gallery are his award-winning large mouth bass, rainbow trout, a humming bird, and a grouse in flight.
Hugo Mesa of Craftsbury, Vermont is a master wood carver who creates intricate doors and decorative furniture. His preferred wood is Mahogany, although he also works with basswood and cedar. On display in the gallery are some of his large works, including a mountain scene, a maple tree, two lamps, and two small mirrors. Mesa has worked as a stained glass artist, and many of his pieces incorporate his colorful glass.
